San Antonio

For better or worse San Antonio is probably the most famous town in Ibiza. Although the tourism here is mostly driven by the young English clubbers, San Antonio has much more to offer if you take the time to “uncover” its real qualities.

Transport

San Antonio is easily accessible by all public transport. There is a bus station which is used by all of the bus companies to connect their various lines. Be aware though that as there are differing companies, sometimes you will have to wait for these connections.

There is a taxi stand in San Antonio’s square where you can almost always find a taxi. The only exception would be between 1am and 3am in summer months when all the young party goers are trying to get to the clubs. A taxi from San Antonio to Ibiza Town will cost about 20€.

There are numerous ferries that leave from San Antonio’s port to other towns or for excursions to some of the beautiful beaches and coves around Ibiza’s South West coastline.

Accommodation

There is no shortage of accommodation in San Antonio, hotels, hostels, apartments and villas are all in abundance. The town centre itself has many to choose from so you can walk to restaurants, bars or the 2 clubs Eden and Es Paradis.

San Antonio offers many restaurants where you can snack or dine. Be wary of some of the bars on the plaza which are very over priced and notably void of people. If you like curry you might want to try the Curry Club which has a very nice atmosphere and probably the best Indian on the island.
