Aiguas Blancas
Aiguas Blancas means "white waters" and refers to the colour of the sea caps produced by it's rougher seas. Another of its peculiarities is its location at the foot of scraggy cliffs which make it difficult to get to (the reason for its not having been developed yet). From here you can appreciate the panoramic view of Punta Grossa (to the North) and Tagomago Island (to the South), along with the constellation of small isles that poke through near the water's edge. It is more than 300m long and has an average width of 10m. It has average textured, tan sands. It is an open beach, exposed to the easterly winds, especially frequent in the summer months, causing its rough surf. Because of its special characteristics, it gets shady here earlier than at other beaches. Its bottoms tend to be sandy (joke), although there are some rocky areas. It has a gentle slope, barely reaching 200cm in depth 50m from the shore. Santa Eulalia Map |
