Port de ses Caletes
After making your way to inland Ibiza in the Port de ses Caletes area, you must visit Can Pere Masson, Font de Balafia and the rural architecture in the Balafia area. Beyond Sant Llorenç church, following a country path that passes through beautiful scenery along the way, you come across the house of Can Pere Masson, with its high defensive tower and the mill of Roman origin. Further along on the same path you also come across a collection of country houses with two refuge towers as defense against possible attack by Turks and inhabitants of the Barbary Coast. It is one of the few communities of more than 5 houses separated by little alleys, with communal bread ovens and whitewashed crosses to ward off evil spirits. Further north, the Font de Balafia rises up in the distance.
