Cala Tarida
Although Cala Tarida is now a bit over developed from tourism, it is still one of the most beautiful beaches on the western coast of Ibiza, and is still well worth a visit. If you are into sports, this is the place for you: windsurf, water skiing, underwater diving and sailing are some of the sports you can enjoy. There are two hotels (as well as apartments) on the hillside; both have discotheques and party halls where you can meet up with other tourists. Two small isles are joined to land by sand (one of them is used as a wharf for the glass bottom boats). It is more than 270m long with an average width of about 40m. It has sandy bottoms (except on the left where there are some rocks), with hardly any slope, as it is barely 150cm deep, 40m from shore. You can easily get to Cala Tarida from Sant Antoni or from the city of Ibiza. Assuming you're coming from Ibiza, take PM-803 until you pass Sant Josep de sa Talala and Sant Agusti. About 300m from this last town, turn left onto a road to Cala Bassa and Cala Tarida. About 4.2km later, take the only turn you come to on the left of this last stretch. At this point, you are only 2km from Cala Tarida, where you will find space to park among the streets surrounding the hotels and apartments. To avoid complications, the best thing is to take the bus. Autobuses Voramar el Gaucho runs bus lines #5 and #38 during the summer months. In addition to hotels, apartments and restaurants, Cala Tarida has ample entertainment-sports offering. There is a school for water skiing and sailing that organises courses. Santa Eulalia Map |

| Cala Conta | Cala Conta – if you think you've seen it all not yet visited this idyllic spot, when you encounter this beach in Ibiza, you can be sure that you cannot possibly imagine anything like it. Its fine, pearly sands form two small coves: Cala Conta and Racci d'en Xic. The first and larger of the two has about 100m surface area and is longitudinal in shape. The second one is a sandy promontory measuring some 40m long and extending into the sea, in an attempt to reach the constellation of small isles and reefs that emerge near its shores (Es Bosc, S'Espartar, Ses Bledes and the enigmatic Conillera). It is also peculiar in that you can swim on both sides. From Cala Conta there is a path that goes up along the seaside towards Torre d'En Rovira, from which we will have a privileged view over all these isles. Its sandy bottoms have a very slight slope and are of unequalled beauty. |
| Cala Codolar | Cala Codolar is no more than 50m long and 20m wide. It is mostly sandy (although its name suggests the contrary, remember that "cudols" means pebbles in the native language of Ibiza) and has a very gentle slope, barely more than 150cm deep, 40m from the water's edge. The summer winds are gentle, usually blowing seaward or at the most, transversally. This beach is used by Phoenix Dive centre to access some great scuba diving spots. There is a stand where you can rent hammocks and beach umbrellas (450 pesetas per day each) and a small dinghy sailing and windsurf school that organises courses. |
