Sant Carles (San Carlos), is a small, charming village in the North of Ibiza (Santa Eulalia) and being on the way to many of the most beautiful beaches in the area, is a great place to stop and enjoy the local hospitality.

The church is its most prominent feature as the shops and residential areas are hidden from the main road which passes through the town.

The other real landmark in San Carlos is bar Anitas, where you can eat great tapas or from an authentic menu of Spanish food. It has a beautifully shaded terrace bar / restaurant and prices are very reasonable. Be sure to pick up a few bottles of the Hierbas from here as it is absolutely delicious.

San Carlos also has some great boutique shops which are located behind the Church, offering local artist’s works, natural products and clothes. The only accommodation on offer is from the rural hotels which are dotted around this area.

San Carlos is also very close to the famous Hippie market, Las Dalias.
