Cala Tarida,
West - San José, Ibiza

Images of Cala Tarida

Although Cala Tarida is now a bit over developed from tourism, it is still one of the most beautiful beaches on the western coast of Ibiza, and is still well worth a visit.

If you are into sports, Cala Tarida is the place for you: windsurf, water skiing, underwater diving and sailing are some of the sports you can enjoy. There are two hotels (as well as apartments) on the hillside; both have discotheques and party halls where you can meet up with other tourists.

Two small isles are joined to land by sand (one of them is used as a wharf for the glass bottom boats). It is more than 270m long with an average width of about 40m. It has sandy bottoms (except on the left where there are some rocks), with hardly any slope, as it is barely 150cm deep, 40m from shore.

In addition to hotels, apartments and restaurants, Cala Tarida has ample entertainment-sports offering. There is a school for water skiing and sailing that organises courses.

Autobuses Voramar el Gaucho runs bus lines #5 and #38 during the summer months.
